Waliyaan, which means exile in wolof, is a six-musician-band who are Senegalese, French, and Centro-Algerian. All gathered around a style which recounts the history of black music (afro, jazz, blues, funk,reggae, hip-hop...) This music they define by the name of Afrobluehop witnesses an identity as hybrid as their music, the quest for beauty,the true and the immersion in their world. Their music is a music of exiled souls, anchored in their roots and porous to all breezes.
