From its 1990 origins as the Erwin Vann Trio, “Let’s Call Ed” (Vann - Dumoulin - Hatzigeorgiou - Pallemaerts) has evolved into a musical force liberated from predetermined form, rhythm, harmony or melody. The band’s four master musicians improvise and compose music on the spot, in the moment. They function as independent entities, yet interact in free flowing counterpoint. An extensive use of electronics helps define the quartet’s distinctively contemporary and original sound.
